kansas part 2

Since we got to Kansas things have gone well and we have had a blast. Everything is much cheaper here than in California (for both places we visited it was $30 total!) and we have been able to enjoy some fun places, one of them being an indoor water park that is centered for kids. There were some adult things but mostly kids. And let me tell you it rocked, mostly because the entire room was super warm and the water was even warmer, it was almost bath water warm. The toddler pool was the warmest and so the kids could stay in longer without their lips turning blue. Erik had fun standing in fountains, putting his hands into them, and riding on the lazy river. He is obsessed with water now when he sees it and if he has access to the bath tub he will try to dive in.

the picture below is sideways but there was a huge 100 gallon bucket that would fill up and once full would tip and blast anybody in the vicinity. Lindsay got blasted by it by surprise and it was hilarious, luckily he was able to cover the camera and keep it safe when it happened so that we could take more pictures.

Erik mowed down on some corn dog during a break and here he is checking out the goods. He is supposed to gain weight before his next doc appointment so nothing like some good ol grease. I wish restaurants offered better kids menus.

We also went out to eat at an asian restaurant where they do a fnacy cooking show with fire in front of you. Erik didnt like it too much it scared him, but he was happy once it was done. And yes, I chopped my hair and colored it dark. Trust me it's cute and you can't really see it in this pic. it has a lot of warm reddish tone to it, and is cut in an A-line. not to sure how I will keep it up but i love short hair. I am much more confident and feel more attractive with short hair.

Our family also had a chance to go to a science museum that was for kids with lots of hands on exhibits. Erik's two favorites were of course the water one, and the dinosaur one because you could dig and uncover fossils. Of course he was too little to understand about the dinosaurs but he loved digging in the little rubber pellets and threw the biggest tantrum when we took him away to move on.

And last but not least Erik has recently been into showing love for things and people other than Lindsay or I. When we were walking through the gift store for the science museum I help up this critter to his ear (it coos) and he loved it. We couldnt take it away without him throwing a fit and while we usually dont just cave like that we thought it would be a great souvenire so we bought and the charm still hasn't worn off. He still cuddles it and sleeps with it. He also walks up to other kids at play areas and lays his head on their shoulder or backs or whatever and shows them love. they usually look at him like he is crazy but it is adorable.

at the end of the day..............this is what happens! Actually I wish, this is what happens in the car usually but he doesnt sleep well in the hotel with us very well. You win some you lose some.

Looks like a super fun water park. I really love you hair and think it looks great. THat's cute about the little toy, it's hard not to cave when they love it so much. I really got a kick out of the sleeping picture. I want to sleep surrounded by pillows too.

What a fun time at the water park! I love the sleeping pic. Our kids never sleep good at a hotel until the 2nd or 3rd night when they are completely exhausted!! He is getting so big and staying as cute as ever!!
