So Sweet!!!

Aren't these so sweet and pretty? So tonight Lindsay and I had gone to his parents house to hang out and be with family. When we got home I was pleasantly surprised to see these nestled in between our storm door and the front door along with a card. They were from my primary president that I work with, I was so amazed and felt so loved! How sweet she is.............and she doesn't even know that Valentine's Day is my favorite holiday. Below are the cards that I made a week ago for the occassion. Just thought I would share!

Valentine's Day although is highly commercialized is my favorite holiday due to the corny romance that stands behind it. I know that we should not have to have a holiday to show love for those around us and with our partners but I love having a reason to celebrate anyways. I love all the mushy stuff out there. You see Lindsay and I aren't that mushy in the traditional sense so this gives us reason also. He doesn't tend to bring me flowers although these he did give me when we were dating and I saved them ( he had them delivered to the copy center I was working at and there are 17 because that is his lucky number and one white one which neither one of remembers why- oops!),
but he doesn't like to give traditional gifts either. He usually shows me how much he loves me by doing things for me. I love it, since I tend to do the same things, but what can I say? I am a woman and I love the corny stuff too. So we will see how tomorrow goes!

Lots of Random Stuff

So I think I am going to post of a bunch of random things, since it seems that the last few have been pretty heavy laden. So first off today I had to speak in church. Now for some that may be no big deal but for me, the introvert that likes small groups, the one who is not fond of being center of attention, the one who's husband is in the bishopric and thus should get a free pass from speaking had to speak.

The topic I spoke on was an amazing one luckily (the importance of teaching children gospel principles) but nonetheless I wanted to put Lindsay in the time out corner when he told me. See....he's been trying to get me to speak for a while and I have kept telling him no since I didn't think that I should have to ( I would rather crawl into a hole and wither away) but he sooooo nicely came to eat lunch with me at work earlier this week (I should have known something was coming) and sort of half asked and half told me. I tried my hardest to get out of it and then he guilted me into by saying that the Bishop thinks that I do well and that people listen to me because of my "sweet spirit" Hmmmmm somebody did a pretty good job of buttering me up cause I spoke. But it's over with and I am so RELIEVED!

On another note Lindsay so lovingly taught Lola this..........

Isn't that special? Our little puppy now knows how to jump our fence and she showed me how she can go back the other way the next morning as I was leaving for work. It was actually pretty comedic when I looked back at the house to see Lindsay poking his face through the window. When I brought Lola back in there was somehow a big grin wrapped across his face and he was running away from me.....................That Stinker! It's a good thing I Love Him!

This is my lovely friend Ashley who came to visit in January and we got to spend an evening with her and her youngest (little Chloe). Doesn't she look amazing for having given birth one month prior? I can only hope that if I ever give birth that I will look as amazing as her!

My favorite color is ORANGE silly I know.... but I love it so much, it makes my day. I thought it was funny because it has been my favorite color for a long time now and it is now becoming a popular home decor color, how splendid!

I hate grocery shopping

I recently have come out of denial that I am a perfectionist, except with my ART. I would like it to look perfect but don't like to spend that much time so I throw it all out the window.

My favorite movie is LIfe is Beautiful

I am going to attempt to grow a garden this spring.

So there you have it a few random happenings in our house and facts about me. Hope your weekends went well and that this next week finds us all with some sun shinging on our faces.

My true color

Take this test!

You're blue — the most soothing shade of the spectrum. The color of a clear summer sky or a deep, reflective ocean, blue has traditionally symbolized trust, solitude, and loyalty. Most likely a thoughtful person who values spending some time on your own, you'd rather connect deeply with a few people than have a bunch of slight acquaintances. Luckily, making close friends isn't that hard, since people are naturally attracted to you — they're soothed by your calming presence. Cool and collected, you rarely overreact. Instead, you think things through before coming to a decision. That level-headed, thoughtful approach to life is patently blue — and patently you!
